Target: President of the United States, U.S. Secretary of State, European Union leadership, and members of Congress
Goal: Urge U.S. and European leaders to commit to real diplomatic engagement and binding security guarantees for Ukraine, ensuring peace, justice, and respect for international law.
The recent summit between former President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin was hailed by some as a return to diplomacy, but words alone are not enough to stop war and protect the Ukrainian people. While dialogue is important, history shows that empty promises and photo ops have failed to deter aggression or protect vulnerable nations.
Ukrainians continue to face violence, displacement, and threats to their sovereignty. The U.S. and Europe have a responsibility to back up their words with action. Security guarantees must be real, not symbolic. This means providing Ukraine with the resources, support, and international recognition it needs—not leaving it at the mercy of authoritarian demands.
We call on our leaders to prioritize the safety and rights of Ukrainians, to respect their self-determination, and to reject any deal that legitimizes aggression or undermines international law. Diplomacy must be rooted in justice, not appeasement.
