Target: U.S. Congress, President of the United States, and State Election Officials
Goal: Demand that U.S. leaders defend mail-in voting, reject election misinformation, and support Ukraine’s sovereignty against Russian aggression.
Former President Trump recently echoed Russian President Putin’s baseless claims that mail-in voting undermines American democracy, going so far as to suggest the 2020 election was 'rigged.' These unfounded allegations not only threaten trust in our electoral system, but also embolden foreign actors who seek to destabilize democracy worldwide.
Trump’s willingness to negotiate away Ukrainian territory in return for so-called 'peace' is an affront to international law and the right of sovereign nations to self-determination. The United States must not reward aggression or legitimize the invasion of Ukraine by entertaining 'land swaps' or undermining NATO security guarantees.
We call on our leaders to unequivocally defend the integrity of mail-in voting, reject misinformation about our elections, and support Ukraine’s right to territorial integrity and democratic self-governance. Democracy at home and abroad depends on our vigilance and solidarity.
