Demand Strong, Binding Security Guarantees and Full NATO Membership for Ukraine

The recent summit in Alaska and subsequent calls between President Trump, President Zelenskyy, and European leaders have highlighted the urgent need for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine. While diplomatic efforts are welcome, history has shown that ceasefires without robust security arrangements often fail, leaving Ukraine vulnerable to renewed aggression.

European leaders have rightly insisted that any deal must include 'ironclad security guarantees' and an unimpeded path to EU and NATO membership for Ukraine. The Ukrainian people have paid a terrible price in their struggle for sovereignty and democracy. It is unacceptable for Russia to retain a veto over Ukraine's future or for international borders to be changed by force.

We call on all leaders involved to ensure that Ukraine's right to self-determination is respected and that any peace agreement includes:

• Legally binding security guarantees, backed by the U.S., EU, and NATO.
• No restrictions on Ukraine's military capabilities or international cooperation.
• An accelerated, unconditional process for Ukraine to join NATO and the EU.
• Continued pressure on Russia through sanctions and international accountability mechanisms until all Ukrainian territory is liberated.

Only through these measures can we achieve a peace that is just, lasting, and respects the rights and security of the Ukrainian people.
