Target: US Congress, President of the United States, US Department of State
Goal: We call on US policymakers to reject any normalization of Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine and to ensure that US foreign policy upholds justice, accountability, and the right of Ukraine to self-determination.
The high-profile summit between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Alaska ended without any concessions from Russia, despite ongoing attacks on Ukraine and the continued occupation of Ukrainian territory. Instead of holding Putin accountable for war crimes and aggression, the summit risked legitimizing Russia's illegal actions and undermining international law. Trump's refusal to challenge Putin's narrative, his amplification of disinformation about US elections, and his failure to secure any real progress for peace are deeply concerning.
We must not allow US diplomacy to be used as a stage for authoritarian leaders to rewrite history or evade responsibility. The US should reaffirm its commitment to Ukrainian sovereignty, support international investigations into war crimes, and reject any peace deal that does not center justice and the will of the Ukrainian people. We urge our leaders to act now to defend democracy and human rights.
