Such a stance risks legitimizing aggression and undermining Ukraine's right to self-determination.
A just and lasting peace can only be achieved by centering the voices of those most affected—Ukrainians themselves—and by respecting Ukraine's sovereignty and internationally recognized borders. We urge U.S. leaders and international negotiators to reject any process that sidelines Ukraine or compromises on fundamental principles of international law.
