Target: President of the United States, President of Ukraine, President of Russia, NATO Secretary General, and European Union leaders
Goal: Ensure that any peace agreement regarding the Russia-Ukraine war is transparent, democratic, and upholds Ukraine’s sovereignty and the will of its people.
The Russia-Ukraine war continues to claim thousands of lives each week, displacing millions and causing immense suffering. While recent talks between US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy have raised hopes for a peace agreement, history shows that agreements made without full transparency and the consent of affected populations often fail to deliver justice or lasting peace.
We are deeply concerned that any deal struck in private, or without meaningful Ukrainian participation and public oversight, risks undermining Ukraine’s sovereignty and the democratic will of its people. Peace must not come at the expense of justice, accountability, or the rights of those most affected by the conflict.
We call on all parties to ensure that any peace process is open, inclusive, and prioritizes human rights, security guarantees, and the reconstruction of Ukraine. The voices of Ukrainians—especially those directly impacted by the war—must be central in shaping the future of their country.
