Target: European Union leaders, United States President, Russian President, and Ukrainian President
Goal: Ensure that any peace negotiations regarding Ukraine are transparent, include Ukrainian leadership as equal participants, and uphold the principles of sovereignty, democracy, and international law.
The ongoing war in Ukraine has resulted in immense human suffering, displacement, and destruction. While recent diplomatic efforts signal hope for a negotiated peace, we are concerned by the lack of transparency and the exclusion of Ukrainian voices from key discussions, such as the recent U.S.-Russia summit in Alaska.
European leaders have rightly insisted that Russia cannot dictate Ukraine's future, particularly regarding its aspirations to join the European Union or NATO. However, peace must not be negotiated over the heads of those most affected. Any summit or agreement must guarantee Ukraine's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the democratic will of its people.
We call on all parties to commit to a transparent negotiation process, with meaningful participation from Ukrainian representatives and civil society. Sanctions and international pressure must continue until Russia fully withdraws its forces and respects Ukraine's borders. Security guarantees must be robust, enforceable, and developed in consultation with Ukraine, not imposed by external powers.
We urge European and global leaders to stand firm for justice, democracy, and the rights of all Ukrainians. Lasting peace can only be achieved through inclusive, accountable, and principled diplomacy.
