Goal: We call for a peace process that meaningfully includes European leaders, civil society, and Ukrainian representatives at all stages, ensuring genuine security guarantees and a just, lasting peace.
The recent proposal for a trilateral meeting on Ukraine's future, involving the US, Ukraine, and Russia, marks an important step toward peace. However, history has shown that peace processes lacking broad participation and transparency often fail to deliver lasting results. President Zelenskyy's call for European involvement is a positive sign, but we must go further.
We urge all parties to ensure that European leaders, independent observers, and Ukrainian civil society are actively involved in negotiations. The people of Ukraine deserve a peace process that centers their needs and aspirations, not just the interests of powerful states. Security guarantees must be robust, enforceable, and developed with input from those directly impacted by the conflict.
We demand a transparent peace process that upholds international law, human rights, and the sovereignty of Ukraine. Only through inclusive dialogue and accountability can we achieve a just and sustainable peace.
