Goal: Ensure that any peace negotiations between the US, Russia, and Ukraine are transparent, include civil society voices, and prioritize human rights and justice for all impacted by the conflict.
As world leaders discuss potential peace agreements to end the war in Ukraine, we urge decision-makers to recognize that lasting peace cannot be achieved behind closed doors or without the direct involvement of those most affected. Secretive or exclusive negotiations risk sidelining the needs of civilians, refugees, and marginalized groups.
We call for a transparent process that includes Ukrainian civil society, human rights organizations, and international observers. Any agreement must uphold international law, protect the sovereignty of Ukraine, and ensure accountability for war crimes and abuses.
