The ongoing war in Ukraine has devastated communities, displaced millions, and threatened the principles of self-determination and democracy. As President Zelensky prepares to meet with President Trump and other world leaders, we are alarmed by reports that recent summits have failed to secure a ceasefire or meaningful progress toward peace. Any negotiations that exclude Ukrainian voices or pressure Ukraine to concede territory set a dangerous precedent and undermine international law.
We urge all parties to reject any settlement that compromises Ukraine’s sovereignty or rewards aggression. European leaders have rightly warned against trusting Russia to uphold peace terms without strict enforcement. The Ukrainian people deserve a peace process that centers their needs, protects their rights, and holds aggressors accountable.
We demand a transparent, inclusive, and just diplomatic process that upholds Ukraine’s territorial integrity and ensures lasting security for all.
