The recent meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska, reportedly focused on brokering a peace deal for Ukraine. According to expert analysis, the leaders engaged in a surprisingly friendly exchange, with Trump expressing willingness to 'help' Putin. This secretive approach to international diplomacy, especially regarding a conflict as grave as the war in Ukraine, undermines democratic oversight and public trust.
We, the undersigned, are deeply concerned that backroom deals and undisclosed agreements could jeopardize both global security and the interests of the American people. We demand that all such negotiations be subject to rigorous transparency standards, Congressional review, and public disclosure. The future of peace and justice in Ukraine, and the integrity of U.S. foreign policy, must not be decided behind closed doors.

- Require all high-level negotiations between U.S. officials and foreign leaders regarding armed conflicts to be fully documented and disclosed to Congress.
- Mandate public summaries of all such meetings, including discussion points and agreements, within 48 hours.
