Target: U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, President of the United States
Goal: We call on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the White House to reject the current MAHA report and immediately implement meaningful reforms to protect public health, reduce chronic disease, and ensure a safe and just food system for all
The draft MAHA report, promised as a roadmap to improve the health of America's children and families, fails to propose significant changes to the policies that drive poor health outcomes. Chronic diseases, driven by poor diet, chemical exposure, lack of physical activity, and overuse of medications, continue to devastate communities nationwide. Yet, the report only suggests more studies and public relations campaigns, rather than decisive action.
Communities across the country—rural, suburban, and urban—have long demanded stronger protections from harmful pesticides, ultra-processed foods, and unchecked pharmaceutical practices. The agricultural industry and food corporations must be held accountable for their role in perpetuating these crises. Meanwhile, critical agencies like the NIH face massive budget cuts, undermining our ability to research and combat these issues.
We demand that our leaders put public health before corporate profits and take immediate steps to reform our food and farming systems, regulate harmful chemicals, and ensure access to healthy, affordable food for all Americans. The time for studies and 'awareness' is over. We need action now.
