The recent summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin ended without any meaningful progress toward ending the war in Ukraine. As the deadliest conflict in Europe in 80 years continues, we must demand real action for peace and justice.

The Trump-Putin summit in Alaska concluded without any agreement to halt Russia's war in Ukraine. Despite claims of 'emerging progress,' no concrete steps were taken to end the violence, protect Ukrainian civilians, or uphold international law. President Trump failed to secure a ceasefire or a meeting between Russian and Ukrainian leaders, leaving millions at risk and prolonging the devastation.

We cannot allow diplomatic spectacle to substitute for real solutions. The ongoing war has caused immense suffering, displacement, and loss of life. The United States and its allies must prioritize the voices and rights of Ukrainians, demand an immediate ceasefire, and ensure that any negotiation centers on justice, accountability, and the sovereignty of Ukraine.
