Goal: We call on U.S. leaders to ensure transparent, democratic, and inclusive diplomacy regarding Ukraine and Russia, and to uphold the rights and voices of those most affected by these decisions.
The secretive nature of the Trump-Putin summit, with no concrete deals or details announced, leaves millions in the dark about the future of Ukraine and the broader region. The exclusion of Ukrainian President Zelenskyy from the talks, despite Ukraine being at the center of the conflict, undermines the principles of self-determination and international law.
Proposals such as 'land swapping'—which have been rejected by Ukraine—should not be considered without the full participation and consent of the Ukrainian people. Furthermore, the lack of clarity on sanctions, tariffs, and ceasefire terms threatens to prolong instability and suffering.
We demand that U.S. foreign policy be guided by transparency, accountability, and respect for international norms. Decisions about Ukraine must not be made behind closed doors or without the direct involvement of Ukrainian representatives. The U.S. must also uphold its commitments to its allies and support peace based on justice and sovereignty.
