Goal: Ensure that any negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine are transparent, include Ukrainian representation, and uphold international law and human rights.
The recent summit between President Trump and President Putin was conducted without the direct involvement of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky or meaningful representation from Ukraine. This approach risks sidelining the voices of those most impacted by the war and could legitimize territorial concessions without the consent of the Ukrainian people.
International law is clear: territorial integrity and the sovereignty of nations must be respected. Any peace process that excludes Ukraine or pressures it to surrender territory sets a dangerous precedent and undermines global efforts to uphold human rights and justice.
We call on the US administration to commit to a transparent peace process that includes Ukraine at every stage, rejects any forced land swaps, and centers the needs and safety of civilians. The world is watching, and the people of Ukraine deserve a just and lasting peace.
