Target: President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and the U.S. Congress
Goal: We call on President Trump and all U.S. officials to ensure that any negotiations with Russia are transparent, uphold Ukraine’s sovereignty, and center the voices and rights of the Ukrainian people.
The Trump-Putin summit in Alaska represents a critical moment for the future of Ukraine and the integrity of international law. Reports indicate that land swaps and economic deals are being discussed, with little transparency and without meaningful Ukrainian participation. Secret negotiations that legitimize Russia’s illegal annexations or trade away Ukrainian territory set a dangerous precedent and betray the principles of self-determination and justice.
We are deeply alarmed by the prospect of U.S. leaders prioritizing quick deals or personal accolades over the rights and safety of Ukrainians. The U.S. must not enable or reward violations of international law, nor should it pressure Ukraine into accepting unjust compromises. Peace must be built on accountability, respect for sovereignty, and the democratic will of the Ukrainian people—not on the interests of powerful leaders or corporations.
We demand full transparency in all negotiations, meaningful inclusion of Ukrainian representatives and civil society, and an unequivocal commitment to human rights and international law. The world is watching—do not betray Ukraine for the sake of expediency or profit.
