Target: President Donald Trump, US Congress, and the US Department of State
Goal: Ensure that any ceasefire or peace negotiations regarding Ukraine are transparent, include Ukrainian representatives, and uphold Ukraine's territorial integrity and self-determination.
We are deeply concerned by reports that President Trump is meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss a rapid ceasefire in Ukraine—without the direct participation of Ukrainian representatives. History has shown that peace imposed without the voices and interests of those most affected is neither just nor lasting.
Ukrainians have made clear they do not consent to territorial concessions or decisions made behind closed doors. Any negotiation that freezes the conflict or recognizes Russian control over Ukrainian land, even informally, violates Ukraine’s sovereignty and international law.
We call on US leaders to ensure that all negotiations are transparent, inclusive of Ukrainian voices, and uphold Ukraine’s right to self-determination. Peace must not come at the cost of justice, democracy, or human rights.
Key Demands
- Guarantee that Ukrainian representatives are included in all negotiations regarding Ukraine’s future.
- Reject any agreement that legitimizes or recognizes Russian control over occupied Ukrainian territories.
- Commit to transparency in all diplomatic talks and publicly disclose negotiation terms.
- Maintain or strengthen sanctions on Russia until it fully withdraws from Ukrainian territory.
- Support Ukrainian sovereignty, democracy, and the right of Ukrainians to determine their own future.
