Goal: Ensure Ukraine’s full participation and agency in all negotiations, reject land swaps, and uphold democratic principles in the peace process.
The upcoming Alaska summit between the United States and Russia will shape the future of Ukraine and the wider region. President Zelensky has made clear that Ukraine is 'counting on America' to support a just and lasting peace. However, the exclusion of Ukraine from key negotiations and the suggestion of land swaps as a solution are unacceptable and undermine the principles of self-determination and sovereignty.
Peace cannot be imposed on Ukraine without its full participation. Any agreement that fails to include Ukrainian voices or that sacrifices Ukrainian territory for expediency is a betrayal of democratic values. We call on the U.S. government to stand firmly with Ukraine, ensure its inclusion in all negotiations, and reject any proposals that compromise its territorial integrity or the will of its people.
