Target: President of the United States, US State Department, and Congressional Foreign Relations Committees
Goal: Urge the US government to center human rights, accountability, and Ukrainian sovereignty in all negotiations with Russia, and to refuse to legitimize war crimes or territorial concessions.
The recent summit between President Trump and Vladimir Putin, held on American soil, marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. While a ceasefire is urgently needed to save lives, we must not allow negotiations to become a platform for war criminals or a means to legitimize aggression and human rights violations.
Vladimir Putin stands indicted for war crimes, including the kidnapping of Ukrainian children, bombing of hospitals, and the use of chemical weapons. Hosting him in the US risks normalizing these atrocities and undermines international law.
We call on US leaders to ensure that any peace process upholds the sovereignty of Ukraine, holds perpetrators of war crimes accountable, and includes Ukrainian voices and interests at every stage. The US must not reward aggression or allow territorial concessions that violate the rights of the Ukrainian people.
True peace can only be built on justice, accountability, and respect for international law. We demand a transparent negotiation process that prioritizes these values and rejects any outcome that legitimizes war crimes or undermines Ukrainian sovereignty.
