Demand Inclusive and Transparent Peace Talks for Ukraine

The upcoming summit between President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin in Alaska threatens to sideline Ukraine and its European allies from critical decisions about the future of Ukraine. History has shown that deals made without the direct involvement of those most affected can lead to unjust outcomes, as seen in the aftermath of the Yalta Conference. The people of Ukraine have endured immense suffering, with hundreds of thousands of casualties and millions displaced. Any peace process that fails to center Ukrainian voices and uphold their sovereignty risks legitimizing aggression and undermining international law.

We call on the US Administration and all summit participants to:

• Guarantee Ukraine's direct participation in all negotiations impacting its future.
• Reject any proposals that involve territorial concessions or swaps without Ukraine's explicit consent.
• Ensure transparency and accountability in all discussions and agreements.
• Work in close cooperation with European allies to uphold peace, justice, and the principles of self-determination.

Peace must not come at the expense of justice or the rights of those most affected. Stand with Ukraine and demand an inclusive, transparent, and just peace process.
