Target: President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and U.S. Administration
Goal: Urge President Trump and international leaders to reject any peace deal that pressures Ukraine into surrendering its territory, and to prioritize a just, democratic, and sustainable end to the war.
The upcoming meetings between President Trump, President Putin, and potentially President Zelenskyy represent a critical juncture in the ongoing war in Ukraine. There are growing concerns that Russia is not negotiating in good faith, with President Putin demanding vast territorial concessions from Ukraine as a precondition for peace—concessions that Ukraine's democratically elected government and people have firmly rejected.
We are alarmed by any suggestion that Ukraine should be pressured into 'divvying up' its land to appease an aggressor. True peace cannot be achieved by rewarding military aggression or undermining the rights of those who have suffered invasion and occupation. Any deal that sacrifices Ukrainian sovereignty or ignores the voices of Ukrainians would set a dangerous precedent for international law and democracy everywhere.
We call on President Trump and all negotiating parties to stand firm against coercion, uphold Ukraine's territorial integrity, and ensure that any peace process is rooted in justice, self-determination, and respect for human rights. The people of Ukraine—and the world—deserve nothing less.
