Goal: We call on all political candidates and parties to move beyond spectacle and commit to bold, substantive policies that address inequality, ensure healthcare for all, reform our criminal justice system, and make higher education accessible and affordable.
On August 15, 2015, the Iowa State Fair was transformed into a political circus, with candidates competing for attention through grand entrances and media stunts. Amidst the chaos, Bernie Sanders stood out by calling for a political revolution—demanding single-payer healthcare, criminal justice reform, tuition-free college, and action on wage and income inequality.
Yet, the focus on spectacle too often drowns out the urgent needs of working families. We believe the time has come for candidates to prioritize real solutions over showmanship. We demand a renewed commitment to policies that put people first, not billionaires or political insiders.
