Goal: Ensure that any negotiations or agreements regarding the war in Ukraine fully respect Ukraine's sovereignty, include Ukrainian representatives at the table, and uphold international law and human rights.
The summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska marks a critical moment for the future of Ukraine and the principles of international law. Russia's ongoing invasion and occupation of Ukrainian territory have resulted in immense human suffering, the displacement of millions, and the forced transfer of Ukrainian children. Despite these realities, Ukraine has been excluded from the current talks, while Russia continues to demand Ukrainian capitulation and the lifting of sanctions without accountability.
We, the undersigned, call on all parties to center Ukrainian voices and rights in any peace process. Lasting peace can only be achieved through an inclusive process that respects Ukraine's territorial integrity, secures the safe return of all abducted children, and holds perpetrators of war crimes accountable. We urge the US and its allies to reject any backroom deals that compromise these principles and to ensure that international law and human rights are at the core of all negotiations.
Key Demands
- Guarantee that Ukraine is fully represented in all negotiations and that no agreement is made without its consent.
- Demand an immediate and unconditional ceasefire by all parties, including a halt to attacks on Ukrainian territory.
- Ensure the safe return of all Ukrainian children and civilians who have been forcibly transferred or abducted.
- Maintain and strengthen international sanctions on Russia until it withdraws from all occupied Ukrainian territories and complies with international law.
- Provide security guarantees for Ukraine to prevent future aggression, including the right to self-defense and military alliances of its choosing.
- Support international investigations and accountability for war crimes and human rights violations committed during the conflict.
