Goal: To halt the militarized ICE raids in Los Angeles, protect immigrant rights, and rebuild trust and security in our neighborhoods.
Since June, thousands of National Guard troops and federal agents have been deployed to Los Angeles, backing up ICE's increasingly confrontational and militarized tactics. These actions have devastated immigrant neighborhoods, forcing residents to hide in fear, shuttering small businesses, and tearing apart families. The presence of armored vehicles and masked agents has transformed vibrant communities into zones of terror, where simply walking down the street can result in detention or deportation.
Workers, many of whom are essential to the city's economy, are too afraid to go to their jobs. Local businesses are closing, and families are falling behind on rent. The psychological toll is immense, as people live in constant panic of being separated from their loved ones. The human cost of these raids is incalculable, and the economic consequences are being felt across Los Angeles.
We stand with the courageous protesters, workers, and organizers who are demanding an end to this assault on our communities. We call on our elected officials to take immediate action to stop the raids, demilitarize our neighborhoods, and protect the rights and dignity of all people, regardless of immigration status.
