Demand Transparent, Inclusive, and Just Peace Talks on Ukraine—No Deals Without Ukrainian Voices

The Alaska summit between President Trump and President Putin represents a pivotal moment for Ukraine and the global community. There are deep concerns that secretive negotiations could result in a deal that undermines Ukraine’s sovereignty, rewards aggression, and excludes those most impacted by the war—Ukrainians themselves.

History has shown that peace without justice is no peace at all. Any agreement that cedes Ukrainian territory, limits Ukraine’s right to self-determination, or is reached without the full participation of Ukrainian representatives and civil society is unacceptable. The world must not legitimize territorial conquest or ignore the voices of those who have suffered most.

We call on President Trump and all negotiating parties to:

• Guarantee Ukrainian participation in all peace talks and negotiations.
• Reject any agreement that involves the transfer of Ukrainian territory to Russia or legitimizes occupation.
• Maintain and strengthen sanctions on Russia until a just and lasting peace is achieved, including full withdrawal from occupied territories.
• Support robust international security guarantees for Ukraine’s sovereignty and safety.
• Ensure that civil society, including displaced persons and victims of war, have a seat at the table in all post-war settlement discussions.

Peace must be built on justice, accountability, and respect for international law—not expedient deals between powerful leaders. Stand with Ukraine. Demand a just peace.
