Notices were posted on tents, giving residents only a few days to vacate. This aggressive approach has created confusion, fear, and instability among the city’s most vulnerable residents.
Advocates and legal representatives intervened to prevent immediate removals, but the threat remains. The federal government has not coordinated with local outreach groups or provided a clear plan for humane alternatives.
