As world leaders prepare to meet and discuss the future of Ukraine, it is crucial that the voices of those most affected by the war are heard and respected. Recent military escalations—including Ukrainian strikes on Russian infrastructure—underscore the urgent need for a fair and transparent peace process.

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine continues to cause immense suffering, with recent drone strikes on Russian oil refineries and military shipments highlighting the war’s devastating reach. As President Putin and President Trump prepare to meet in Alaska to discuss the possibility of ending the war, it is vital that the process does not sideline Ukrainian voices or ignore the rights and needs of civilians.
