At the same time, Hollywood unions and industry leaders are lobbying for tax incentives that primarily benefit large corporations and high-income individuals. These measures, such as the extension and expansion of Section 181 and the revival of Section 199, further entrench economic disparities by prioritizing corporate profits over community needs.
We demand a shift in priorities: Congress and the President must enact policies that ensure the wealthy and large corporations pay their fair share, and that public resources are invested in affordable housing, living wages, and social programs that benefit all—not just the privileged few.
