Target: Federal Election Commission, Kentucky State Legislature, and National Political Committees
Goal: We demand an end to the flood of outside money and negative advertising campaigns that distort local elections and silence the will of the people in Kentucky's 4th District.
Our democracy is built on the principle that voters, not wealthy donors or political action committees, should determine who represents them. The recent $1.8 million spent by MAGA Inc. and other outside groups to attack Rep. Thomas Massie is a clear example of how big money can drown out local voices and manipulate public opinion.
Regardless of one's views on Rep. Massie's record, it is unacceptable for outside interests to pour massive sums into negative ad campaigns that mislead voters and erode public trust. These tactics undermine the foundation of fair elections and threaten the ability of communities to choose their own representatives without interference.
We call on election officials, lawmakers, and party leaders to take immediate action to protect our democracy from the corrosive influence of big money and ensure that all candidates have a fair chance to be heard.
