Goal: Ensure that any negotiations or agreements regarding the Ukraine war are fully inclusive of Ukrainian leadership, prioritize human rights, and uphold international law.
The upcoming summit between the US and Russian presidents marks a critical moment in the ongoing Ukraine war. While expectations are high, there is deep concern that the voices of Ukrainians are being excluded from decisions that will shape their future. Any peace process that ignores Ukraine's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the rights of its people is unacceptable.
We are alarmed by reports that key European allies and, most importantly, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, are not included in these talks. There can be no legitimate or lasting peace without Ukraine's direct participation and consent. Attempts to force territorial concessions or ignore war crimes, such as the abduction of Ukrainian children, set a dangerous precedent for international law and human rights.
We call on US leaders and the international community to uphold the principles of self-determination, justice, and accountability. Peace must be built on respect for Ukraine's sovereignty and the will of its people—not imposed by external powers for political convenience.
Key Demands
- No peace agreement or territorial negotiation should be made without the full participation and consent of Ukraine's democratically elected government.
- Immediate and unconditional ceasefire on land, sea, and air, with robust international monitoring.
- Release of all prisoners of war and the safe return of all Ukrainian children and civilians forcibly taken by Russia.

- Meaningful inclusion of European partners and civil society in all peace processes.
